D’Ann Evans: Co-Owner - Full Time
D’Ann is a central valley native, with over 30 years of industry experience. After working at award winning Yosh for Hair Salon in San Francisco and freelancing for commercials and photoshoots in Los Angeles, she moved to Redken, Inc. as the Educational Program Developer for their highly acclaimed cosmetology school education program. From there she moved to a video production company which catered to the professional beauty industry. As a video producer, she wrote and produced corporate and instructional materials for a majority of the professional beauty industry, including John Paul Mitchell Systems. 24+ years ago, she was asked to join John Paul Mitchell Systems as their Director of Program Development. After 18 years with JPMS she resigned from her position as Vice President of Corporate Shows and Events to work full-time within the school She enjoys strong relationships with the industry’s top educational and corporate leaders who willingly and openly show their support for the education of our Future Professionals.
Erik Pedersen: Director, Co-Owner - Full Time
Erik began as Director of the school following a successful career as owner/operator of Erik Pedersen Graphic Design with some 25 years of vast experience doing brand and marketing consulting with companies such as Ford, General Motors, Dunn Edwards Paints, John Paul Mitchell Systems, Corona Tools and Weiser Lock. As Director of Paul Mitchell the School Fresno, his experience in business management and marketing serve to not only direct the school in its successful operations but also lend essential mentoring to the Future Professionals as they build their business acumen. As a non-hairdresser, he is so drawn to this industry and what cosmetologists are able to do for other people’s well-being, both inside and out. As an experienced commercial photographer, he also conducts photo shoots with Future Professionals providing them with valuable on-set experience while helping to grow their portfolios. He loves to see the pride, in their eyes, when they see their finished photos.

Julio started school in April, 2015 and receive his license in July, 2016. He was behind the chair at JC Penney until joining Paul Mitchell The School Fresno. He was looking for another career path other than managing a fast food restaurant, but didn’t consider hairstyling until a friend asked him to join her on a tour of the school. After signing up and starting at Paul Mitchell in 2015, he fell in love with the culture and the excitement of the industry. His favorite Paul Mitchell culture quote is “Always say yes to every opportunity”. He did, and he is grateful for all the opportunities he’s been given since entering this industry.

Devon is a “Home Grown”, having received her training at Paul Mitchell the School Fresno. She graduated school and obtained her license in 2013 and has been with the team since mid-2019. She began at our Service Desk and quickly elevated to a Learning Leader. She brings a zeal for order, organization and detail and has a natural way of communicating with Future Professionals.

She is currently the school’s Cutting and Color specialist. She is also certified to train Paul Mitchell The School Fresno Learning Leaders in Color and Cutting right here in the school, so all team members have a much faster road to becoming the best Learning Leaders possible. She is also a member of the Advanced Academy Cutting Team.
